CLARINETS IN A, B-FLAT OR C, FIVE TO TWELVE KEYS – The firm of Griessling & Schlott built instruments ranging from five to twelve keys with phenomenal workmanship and beauty of construction. The great virtuoso Heinrich Baermann was their most famous client. The clarinets are very sturdy with finely crafted keys mounted in wooden blocks. The bores are quite narrow and the finger holes closer than many other German clarinets. The Griessling & Schlott C clarinet has a narrow bore, unlike the H. Grenser model.
